We received numerous entries to our inaugural VMP Student Filmfest from all eligible schools (UCF, Valencia, Full Sail & Seminole State College). Our filmfest judges scored all films through a criteria based around 5 main areas: Story, Editing, Cinematography, Directing, and Audio.

Our top pick for this years VMP Student Filmfest was a close call, but in the end it came down to “Oof” (Directed by Chris Bruno, Valencia), and his team “A Bibo Production”.
We were thoroughly impressed with the creative style of their work and all of us genuinely laughed throughout their comedy short.

This film was well produced overall and we were impressed with their attention to detail, especially from a sound design standpoint. It also had good acting and use of locations.

We thought this film took an interesting approach to a tough subject. They utilized a unique editing style with fast paced cuts which helped tell their story in an engaging manner.

Chris has many years of experience in the video production industry. He has produced content for many of VMP’s clients such as Microsoft, Twitter and Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
Reuben has taught at the University of Central Florida as well as Full Sail University. He has also produced documentary film projects all over the world, most recently in India.
